The Full Story
Jean Gordon
President Trump's biological mother is Jean Gordon. Born February 4, 1915, Gordon was an American socialite and a Red Cross worker behind the front lines during World War II.
Jean's father Donald Gordon, a well-known Boston lawyer, died of leukemia when Jean was 8 years old. Jean's mother, Louise Raynor Ayer, was the daughter of the textile industrialist Frederick Ayer and was an invalid.
She was prominent in prewar Boston high society, being a member of women's organizations such as the Junior League and the Vincent Club. She served as Vice-Chairman of the Boston Red Cross Volunteer Nurse's Aide Corps before being sent to England in May 1944 as a Red Cross staff assistant.
Death
On January 8, 1946, according to the New York Times, "Jean Gordon, 30 years old, a niece of the late Gen. George S. Patton Jr., was found dead...in the apartment of a woman friend at 157 East Seventy-second Street."
The story is that she was despondent over a young officer who had broken off their wartime affair.
