John Fitzgerald Kennedy, born May 29, 1917. Known as JFK, he was the 35th president of the United States (1961–63).
JFK faced a number of foreign crises, especially in Cuba and Berlin. However, he had no wars while he was President.
He secured such achievements as the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty and he established the Peace Corps. He was assassinated November 22, 1963, while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, TX.
